Marta Isabel Garcia is a partner in the competition team in the London and Paris offices. She is an EU and UK competition law expert, advising clients on all aspects of the competition rules, ranging from global multi-jurisdictional merger control, cartel and behavioural investigations to State aid and subsidy control. She also advises more generally on competition compliance and commercial agreement matters, including the review of distribution agreements, R&D, selective distribution and franchise agreements, joint ventures and strategic alliances. Marta also advises on UK foreign investment screening rules.
Marta has worked with companies across various industries (including financial services, insurance, transportation, life sciences, consumer goods and retail, real estate and funds and asset management) and her work has taken her across the globe (i.e. Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa).
Marta has been listed as a "Next Generation Partner" in The Legal 500 UK since 2020 and ranked in Who's Who Legal Competition – Future Leaders since 2018.
